Adrian Wojnarowski is back behind the mic — but this time, it’s not to break NBA news. It’s to build something bigger with St. Bonaventure men’s basketball.
The Bonnies general manager and Hall of Fame sports journalist, per the Athletic, is launching a brand-new YouTube series, “The Program with Woj” aimed squarely at supporting the Bonnies’ growing Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) efforts.
The weekly digital show, produced by Chris Corcoran’s In the Arena Studios and sponsored by sports betting technology company Novig, will feature Wojnarowski in conversation with some of the biggest thinkers in sports, including executives, coaches, and team builders who’ve shaped championship cultures.
But this time, Woj’s mission isn’t scoops or stories. It’s sustaining the program that shaped him.
“I’m learning a lot in this GM role at St. Bonaventure and want to explore my new world with a lot of the innovative team-building minds in sports. My financial motivation with ‘The Program’ is simply to raise revenue to be distributed directly back to our players on campus.”

A Hall of Fame Career, Now Rooted in Olean
For Wojnarowski, a 1991 Bona grad, this marks another reinvention in a career built on influence, storytelling, and passion for the game.
Earlier this year, he received the Curt Gowdy Media Award from the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, one of the industry’s highest honors.
But just months before that, Woj shocked the basketball and media worlds by leaving ESPN and reportedly walking away from about $20 million remaining on his contract to take over as the first-ever general manager of St. Bonaventure men’s basketball.
Woj recently spoke with former NFL player and current TV analyst Greg Olsen about life after ESPN and the change college hoops landscape. Watch below!
Building the Bonnies Through NIL
Since taking on the GM role in 2024, Wojnarowski has been relentless in seeking ways to strengthen the Bonnies’ NIL foundation, a crucial factor for mid-major programs battling to keep pace with the financial muscle of larger schools.
From auctioning off his own NBA memorabilia (including the phones he once used to drop those famous “Woj Bombs”) to partnering with sports tech company Players Health on performance-based player bonuses, Woj has turned creativity into currency.
Those efforts helped launch the Bonnies Basketball Excellence Fund, a donor-supported pipeline allowing fans and alumni to directly invest in player development and NIL support.
‘The Program’: Where Media Meets Mission
Now, with “The Program with Woj,” he’s combining his two worlds — media and management — to keep the Bonnies competitive.
The show will deliver behind-the-scenes insight from top sports minds while generating real financial support for St. Bonaventure athletes.
Wojnarowski made it clear that his goal isn’t a return to ESPN-style newsbreaking. Instead, “The Program” represents a new phase all about mentorship, innovation, and impact.
Eyes on the Future
Under Wojnarowski and longtime head coach Mark Schmidt, the Bonnies finished 22–12 overall and 9–9 in Atlantic 10 play last season.
But the energy surrounding the program is undeniable, with renewed optimism that the combination of NIL growth and leadership could lift St. Bonaventure back into NCAA tournament contention.
Episodes of “The Program with Woj” will premiere weekly on YouTube, bringing fans a front-row seat to the conversations shaping the next era of college basketball … and another chance for Bona Nation to rally around their team.
