The Olean High School Huskies are stepping into the spotlight this week.
Their Week 7 matchup at Iroquois on Friday will be featured on Buffalo Toronto Public Media’s “Friday Night Lights,” airing live on TV, radio, and YouTube.
Fans can tune in to the action live on BTPM Create (TV), BTPM NPR (radio), or via the BTPM YouTube channel here or below.
Leading up to kickoff, additional coverage and behind-the-scenes content will be shared on Facebook at “BTPM PBS.”
Team Records and Season Highlights
The Huskies, now 4-2 overall and 4-1 in league play, are coming off a dominant 35-12 Section 6 Class B2 victory over Dunkirk that clinched a playoff berth for the second straight season.
Their opponent, Iroquois, enters the matchup at 5-1 overall and undefeated (5-0) in league play, having outscored their opponents 193-61 this season.
Player Leaders
Olean’s offense has been fueled by key performances across the field:
- Domonick Hirliman leads the rushing attack with 446 yards and 8 touchdowns
- Mykel Rivera has 26 catches for 437 yards and 5 touchdowns
- Joe Mest has thrown for 865 yards and 10 touchdowns
On defense, Caine DeGolier has anchored the Huskies with 61 tackles, including 10 for loss.
Kickoff Information
Kickoff is set for 7:15 p.m. in Elma, NY, with extended timeouts between quarters and select team timeouts to accommodate the live broadcast.
