Weekend Holiday Events Highlight: Celebrate the Season in Cuba

The magic of the Christmas season is coming to Cuba, NY this weekend!

Gather your family and friends for Small Town Christmas on Saturday, December 6, and enjoy a full day of festive fun, delicious treats, and holiday cheer.

Small Town Christmas in Downtown Cuba

Event Schedule

  • Breakfast Buffet at Cuba Legion, 7:30-10:30 a.m.
  • Holiday Market & Soup Lunch at Baptist Church. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Horse-Drawn Wagon Rides & Hot Cocoa Station at the Flag Pole, 1-4 p.m.
  • Cookie Decorating at the Library, 2-3:30 p.m.
  • Make-and-Take Crafts at Cuba Art Station, 2:30-4:30 p.m.
  • Photos with Santa at the Library, 3:30-4:30 p.m.
  • Santa Claus Lane Parade on Main Street, followed by Cookies & Cocoa at St. James Park, 5 p.m.

🎭 Special Feature

See ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas at The Palmer Opera House in Cuba, with shows at 2 and 7 p.m. This is a delightful under-60-minute play perfect for preschool through grade school kids.

☃️ OARS Snowman Building Contest

Show off your snowman skills! Enter as an individual or team.

Set for noon to 3 p.m. at 4413 Hamilton Hill Road, Cuba, NY. This is free event with prizes for under 12, teens and adults.

🎅 Saturday with Santa at Allegany State Park

Kick off Saturday at 11:30 a.m. with a festive parade, then enjoy:

  • Visits with Santa at Red House Pavilion, noon to 3 p.m.
  • Wagon Rides between Administration Building and Red House Pavilion
  • Crafts, Games, Gingerbread Café & Coloring Contest at Camp Allegany
  • Plus: Tree decorating, letters to Santa, cookies & cocoa!

🎩 Victorian Christmas at the Fannie Bartlett House in Olean

Step back in time and experience the elegance of a Victorian Christmas at the historic Fannie Bartlett House, a stunning Queen Anne-style home built in 1881.

The event is set for noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday and includes:

  • Kids activities and Santa visits
  • Explore nine beautifully decorated rooms featuring intricate woodwork, seven unique fireplaces, and a Tiffany-style staircase window
  • Learn fascinating history from local experts while enjoying the holiday ambiance
